Canoe slalom Worlds: four Poles advance, disqualifications dominate day one

The opening day of the Canoe Slalom World Championships in Oklahoma City saw four Polish paddlers advance to further rounds of competition. Racing took place in the individual kayak cross event, which also served as a qualifier for Saturday's head-to-head races. No Polish athlete reached the podium, and the day was marked by numerous disqualifications across the field.
