Gdynia residents bought flats cash in 2003 — now face developer's 664K-euro debt

Zuzanna from Gdynia paid cash for her flat in 2003 but did not receive ownership documents until five years later. At that point it emerged that several flats in the building were encumbered with a developer's debt exceeding 664,000 euros. Despite the bank's assurances of a quick resolution, the mortgages remain seized 16 years on and have been sold on the debt market. The case was reported by the Polish investigative programme Interwencja.
