Vietnam Fines Unlicensed Crypto Trading Up to $1,900 — Same as Drunk Driving

Vietnam is imposing fines of roughly $1,140 to $1,900 on domestic investors who trade cryptocurrencies outside of licensed service providers. The penalty level is comparable to fines for drunk driving in the country. The new rules are part of Vietnam's broader effort to regulate its cryptocurrency market.
