Pickle Emoji Officially Approved — Expected to Arrive Next Year

The Unicode Consortium has officially approved a new set of emoji, including the long-awaited pickle emoji. The new symbols are not expected to appear on devices until next year. Among the proposals that did not make the cut was a squinting-face emoji.
