CONMEBOL chief announces 64 teams at 2030 World Cup, but FIFA hasn't confirmed it

Alejandro Domínguez, president of CONMEBOL, announced that the 2030 World Cup would be expanded to 64 teams. FIFA, led by Gianni Infantino, has not yet issued an official decision confirming that format. Domínguez appears to have got ahead of the international federation's official announcement.
