2030 World Cup to Feature 64 Teams, CONMEBOL President Confirms

CONMEBOL president Alejandro Dominguez has unexpectedly confirmed that the 2030 World Cup will be expanded from 48 to 64 national teams. Spain won this year's tournament held in the USA, Canada and Mexico and will defend their title in four years. FIFA has accepted the proposal to expand the centenary edition of the competition.
