Peter Magyar nominates chess legend Judit Polgár for Hungary's presidency
Peter Magyar, leader of Hungary's opposition, announced his intention to nominate chess legend Judit Polgár for the country's presidency. The 50-year-old grandmaster is widely regarded as the greatest female chess player of all time, having defeated world champions including Garry Kasparov, Anatoly Karpov and Vladimir Kramnik. Polgár is a five-time Olympiad champion and the only woman ever to compete in the men's World Chess Championship.
