Poland's Constitutional Tribunal chief demands police explain July 14 intervention

Constitutional Tribunal President Bogdan Święczkowski has formally requested that Police Commander-in-Chief Marek Boroń explain the legal basis for a July 14 intervention at the Tribunal. On that day, police officers accompanied by a prosecutor entered the TK building while the General Assembly was in session. Święczkowski is demanding a full account of the legal grounds for the action.
