Warsaw deputy mayor: mass event permits do not require noise or environmental assessment
Warsaw deputy mayor Tomasz Mencina has told the Commissioner for Human Rights (RPO) that authorities issuing mass-event permits have no legal basis to assess environmental impact, including noise emissions. The reply came in response to the RPO's inquiry about a loud techno event held in Wilanów that prompted complaints from residents. The city effectively argued that noise assessment during mass-event permitting falls outside its legal remit.
