Andy Burnham named UK PM — pledges devolution and social care reform

Andy Burnham, former mayor of Manchester, has succeeded Keir Starmer as UK Prime Minister. Burnham has pledged to tackle the cost of living, expand devolution and reform the social care system. The leadership transition took place within the Labour Party.
