Poland to scrap tax penalties for VAT payments sent to wrong bank account

A draft law to be considered by Poland's Council of Ministers on Tuesday would abolish tax penalties for paying a VAT invoice to the wrong bank account. Under current rules, such a mistake means the payment cannot be counted as a deductible business cost under personal or corporate income tax. The change is designed to relieve businesses from the consequences of unintentional administrative errors.
