Resistance descendant damages AfD wreath at Berlin Hitler assassination anniversary

At a ceremony in Berlin's Bendlerblock on Monday marking the 81st anniversary of the July 20, 1944 assassination attempt on Hitler, a physical altercation broke out. A great-nephew of resistance figures Dietrich and Klaus Bonhoeffer intervened to prevent the AfD from laying a wreath. He damaged the wreath, objecting to the far-right party's presence at the commemoration.
