Anduril unveils Thunder autonomous attack rotorcraft at Farnborough

Anduril unveiled its autonomous attack rotorcraft, called Thunder, at the 2026 Farnborough Airshow, developed in partnership with Archer Aviation. The Group 5 aircraft uses a series hybrid-electric powertrain and tilt rotors, enabling it to operate in any environment and keep pace with crewed attack helicopters like the Apache and Cheyenne II. The system is designed to work alongside crewed platforms as a drone wingman in response to the drone proliferation that has stalled maneuver warfare.
