Rhode Island fugitive convicted of rape hid for 20 years as biotech chief medical officer
Ronald Fischer, a 70-year-old former anesthesiologist convicted of sexual assault, spent 20 years on the run under the alias Richard Graydon, secretly working as chief medical officer at Los Angeles biotech firm Immix Biopharma. Federal and Rhode Island authorities arrested him last week after tracking and boarding a 56-foot sailboat off the coast of New Jersey. Fischer had disappeared in 2005 while on trial for first-degree sexual assault.
