Polish Finance Ministry: no budget room for pay rises for civil servants

Poland's Ministry of Finance has stated that there is no room in the budget for new expenditure in the coming years, particularly for pay rises in the public administration. The ministry's position was set out in comments on a draft law that would have increased state budget funding. The decision may effectively mean civil servants' wages remain frozen at current levels.
