EU may hand sensitive citizen data to the US in exchange for visa-free travel

Digital rights group EDRi warns that the EU is considering sharing highly sensitive personal data of its citizens with the United States as part of a deal to secure visa-free travel. Critics argue the exchange would undermine EU privacy standards and data protection law. The terms of the negotiations have not been made public.
