Polish Health Ministry plans central e-queue to fight "golden phone" hospital admissions
Poland's Ministry of Health wants to introduce a central electronic waiting list for planned procedures to curb the practice of patients being admitted through personal connections — so-called "golden phone" calls. Experts are sceptical, warning that access to treatment cannot be determined solely by the order of registration. The project aims to improve transparency, but technical details and an implementation timetable have not yet been announced.
