EU fines AliExpress €550 million for selling counterfeits and dangerous products

The European Commission fined the AliExpress marketplace €550 million on Monday for failing to adequately prevent the sale of counterfeit and potentially dangerous goods on its platform. It is one of the largest fines ever levied by the EU against an e-commerce platform. The decision reflects the EU's tightening enforcement of the Digital Services Act.
