Thousands of AI-written fake biographies flood Apple Books and Amazon

Tech journalist Joanna Stern found 10 AI-generated fake versions of her book "I Am Not a Robot" on Apple Books within days of its real publication, with new ones appearing as fast as they were removed. New York Times reporter Kashmir Hill discovered a fake AI-written biography of herself on Amazon, and found it was one of thousands of such titles for sale. The problem affects both of the largest e-book platforms.
