US strikes Iran for ninth straight day; ships attacked in Strait of Hormuz

The United States launched a new wave of strikes against Iran on Monday, the ninth consecutive day of attacks, as American deaths in the renewed fighting climbed to three. More ships came under attack in the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz. Iran retaliated by targeting US military assets in Bahrain, home of the US Navy's 5th Fleet, and in Kuwait.
