Long before Disney built stars through High School Musical, Hannah Montana , and Camp Rock , it had a recurring talent pipeline built around young performers who could sing, dance, act, handle comedy sketches, and grow in public. The most famous 1989–1996 generation included Britney Spears , Justin Timberlake , Christina Aguilera , Ryan Gosling , Keri Russell , and JC Chasez , but the format dates back to Walt Disney’s original 1955 ABC series, which was previously revived in 1977. It’s now reportedly being revived again, and although it’s just one episode for now, the news is still substantial.
