17-year-old admitted for ankle surgery had all wisdom teeth removed by mistake

A 17-year-old French patient admitted to hospital for ankle surgery had all four of her wisdom teeth extracted instead by mistake. The hospital acknowledged a medical error and issued an apology to the family, who have filed a formal complaint. An internal investigation is under way. The girl's mother said: "We still can't understand how this could have happened."
