Rodri named World Cup MVP — only fourth player to hold this trophy set

Spain's Rodri was named the best player (MVP) of the World Cup that concluded on Sunday. He becomes only the fourth footballer in history to hold the World Cup, European Championship, UEFA club trophy and Ballon d'Or simultaneously — joining Germans Franz Beckenbauer and Gerd Müller, and Frenchman Zinedine Zidane. After receiving the award, Rodri paid tribute to Lionel Messi.
