India reaches orbit: Skyroot Aerospace launches Vikram-1 rocket

Skyroot Aerospace became the first private Indian company to place its Vikram-1 rocket into orbit, putting India among just three countries where the private sector has orbital launch capability. It is a historic milestone for the Indian space industry, previously dominated by the state agency ISRO.
