Partner phubbing linked to higher risk of postpartum depression in women
New research indicates that partner phubbing — the habit of ignoring one's partner in favour of a smartphone — is associated with a greater risk of postpartum depression in women. The lack of emotional presence and support from a partner during the vulnerable postpartum period appears to negatively affect maternal mental health.
