Nolan's "The Odyssey" opens to $264m worldwide — his best ever debut

Christopher Nolan's "The Odyssey" grossed $264.1 million globally in its opening weekend, setting a new career record for the director. The film earned $118.3 million over the weekend alone and $139.6 million worldwide from Wednesday. It set opening records in 48 countries including Poland, though it debuted second in Argentina and one other market.
