Chinese Fleet Harasses Ships Around Taiwan to Assert Fake Jurisdiction
Taiwan reported a sharp increase in Chinese vessel activity in its surrounding waters in June. Beijing is using the pretext of law enforcement to intensify maritime harassment and create the illusion of full jurisdiction over the area. Taipei warns this is a deliberate strategy to expand Chinese influence in the region.
