J.D. Vance welcomes son Alec — first child born to a sitting VP in 150 years

US Vice President J.D. Vance announced the birth of his fourth child, a son named Alec Neel Vance. It is the first child born to a sitting vice president since the 1870s. His 40-year-old wife, Usha Vance, is the first wife of a sitting vice president to give birth in 156 years.
