Psychologist: "Opinionism" divides society more than differing views themselves

Social psychologist Paul Dolan argues in his book that modern social divisions stem not from differing opinions themselves, but from "opinionism" — judging a person's worth by their beliefs. He illustrates this with an anecdote about a child calling a homeless woman ungrateful for asking for sugar with her tea. Dolan also examines why siblings raised by the same parents can end up with radically different worldviews.
