Ketogenic diet promoted small intestine cancer in mice, study finds

A study in mice found that a ketogenic diet promoted the development of small intestine cancer. The results suggest that the high-fat, very-low-carbohydrate diet may have adverse oncological effects, at least in an animal model. Researchers caution that the findings need further investigation before conclusions can be applied to humans.
