Nadiezdhin withdraws from Russian elections after being labelled a foreign agent
Boris Nadiezdhin, a prominent critic of Vladimir Putin, is withdrawing from Russia's September parliamentary elections. His candidacy was blocked by a fine for posting a photo of Alexei Navalny online and by the Justice Ministry's designation of him as a "foreign agent". "My opportunities for legal political engagement have been exhausted," the opposition figure stated.
