Samsung Biologics Makes $1.8 Billion All-Cash Bid for Switzerland's PolyPeptide

South Korea's Samsung Biologics on Monday made an all-cash offer of 1.46 billion Swiss francs ($1.8 billion) for Switzerland's PolyPeptide Group, a manufacturer of active pharmaceutical ingredients for peptide drugs. The deal would rank among the larger pharma-sector acquisitions of the year. No acceptance has been confirmed yet.
