Iran Conflict Reignites Fertiliser Prices; EU Allocates €66.6 Million in Subsidies to Poland
The resumption of conflict in Iran is pushing up fertiliser and fuel prices just ahead of the peak autumn demand period for farmers. In response, the European Commission has approved a subsidy package: out of a total €540 million, Poland will receive €66.6 million. The aid is intended to cushion the agricultural sector against the coming price shock.
