Vingegaard crashes out of Tour de France with broken collarbone after Bonneville fall
Jonas Vingegaard, two-time Tour de France champion and this year's Giro d'Italia winner, crashed out of the race after falling on a roundabout exit in Bonneville during the first Alpine stage on Sunday. The Dane was taken away in an ambulance with his right arm in a sling and will undergo collarbone surgery within days. The incident sparked outrage over anti-doping controls, as Vingegaard had been woken at 2am on the morning of the stage for testing. Remco Evenepoel won the stage, outsprinting Tadej Pogačar.
