From 2027 ZUS can order medical tests and hospitalisation before granting disability pension
From 1 January 2027, Poland's Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) will gain new powers over disability pension applicants. It will be able to order additional medical tests or hospital observation before issuing a decision. Refusing to undergo the required examinations may result in the pension being denied or suspended.
