El Niño could be strongest in 75 years — what does it mean for Europe?

NOAA puts an 81% probability on this year's El Niño reaching a very strong category by autumn, rivalling the record episodes of 1997. This could make it one of the strongest El Niño events in 75 years. Scientists warn that its effects will be felt worldwide, including across Europe.
