Eight-month Tara Polar Station expedition to study Arctic climate change

In August 2026, a team of scientists will depart from Kirkenes in northern Norway aboard the floating laboratory Tara Polar Station for an eight-month expedition. The mission, known as Tara Polaris I, will study the effects of climate change and pollution on the Arctic Ocean. Scientific director of the expedition is Marcel Babin.
