Karwia: 987 residents, up to 50,000 tourists a day in peak season

Karwia is a small coastal village in the Pomeranian region of northern Poland with just 987 permanent residents. Village head Bartosz Agata estimates that on fine summer days at the height of the season, between 30,000 and 50,000 tourists arrive daily. This makes it one of the most heavily visited Baltic resorts relative to its resident population.
