Iran immobilises two vessels in Strait of Hormuz

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced on Sunday that two vessels had been immobilised and two others turned back from what it called a "dangerous route" through the Strait of Hormuz. The report came from Iran's semi-official Tasnim news agency. The incident adds to ongoing tensions around the strategically vital waterway through which a large share of global oil exports pass.
