Scientists create first room-temperature quantum material spun from gold atoms

Scientists have created the first quantum material of its kind that functions at room temperature, spun from atoms of gold. Until now, quantum materials required cooling to extremely low temperatures to operate. The breakthrough could accelerate the development of practical quantum technologies.
