YouTube bug breaks picture-in-picture mode on iPhone and Android

YouTube has confirmed a bug that prevents picture-in-picture (PiP) mode from activating after the app is closed on iPhones and Android devices. Instead of a floating video window, users hear only audio from the background playback. The issue is more widespread on iOS than on Android.
