Jingye demands compensation from UK over British Steel nationalisation
Chinese conglomerate Jingye Group, the former owner of British Steel, has formally demanded compensation from the UK government for investment losses following last week's nationalisation of the steelmaker. The British government took control of British Steel after the company faced collapse. Jingye has not disclosed the amount it is seeking.
