France gives Ukraine SAMP/T batteries and licence to produce Aster-30 missiles

France is providing Ukraine with SAMP/T air defence batteries along with a licence to manufacture Aster-30 B1NT missiles. This will allow Ukraine to produce its own advanced anti-missile interceptors, reducing dependence on the US Patriot system. It is one of the most significant military aid packages Paris has offered to date.
