Tbilisi to demolish Rike Concert Hall — the landmark stood empty for 14 years

Tbilisi authorities have decided to demolish the Rike Concert Hall — a monumental steel-and-glass structure shaped like two giant tubes — which stood completely empty for 14 years without hosting a single concert or exhibition. A new building is to be constructed in its place. The hall was designed as a flagship cultural landmark for the Georgian capital but never fulfilled its purpose.
