Moro Soup: The Early 20th-Century Recipe That Saved Children's Lives
In the early 20th century, Austrian paediatrician Ernst Moro developed a simple carrot soup that effectively combated diarrhoea in young children. At the time, diarrhoea was a leading cause of infant death due to rapid dehydration. Moro's soup helped significantly reduce child mortality rates.
