NASA plans 2027 Artemis III dress rehearsal before 2028 Moon landing

NASA has scheduled a 2027 Artemis III demonstration mission as a dress rehearsal ahead of astronauts landing on the Moon in 2028. During the uncrewed mission, teams on Earth and in orbit will practice rendezvous and docking between commercial human landing systems and the Orion spacecraft. Data gathered will help ensure the safety of the crewed landing.
