Netflix's "Paradise": disturbing sci-fi about buying and selling human lifespan

German dystopian sci-fi thriller "Paradise" (2023), directed by Boris Kunz, is set in a near future where biotech firms can extract and transfer years of life between people, turning human existence into a tradeable commodity. Starring Kostja Ullmann, Corrina Kirchhoff and Marlene Tanczik, the Netflix film tackles class division, aging and the ethics of commodifying life. It remains one of the platform's most unsettling offerings three years after release.
