McIlroy calls DeChambeau's behaviour after two-stroke penalty "performative" at The Open

Rory McIlroy openly criticised Bryson DeChambeau after the American received a two-stroke penalty during the second round of the 2026 Open Championship. McIlroy described DeChambeau's behaviour during discussions with tournament officials as "performative" and done "for attention," noting it delayed the release of third-round tee times. McIlroy added that he is "not particularly fond" of DeChambeau.
