Hungarian President Sulyok Removed from Office by Constitutional Amendment

Hungarian President Tamás Sulyok signed a constitutional amendment on Saturday that will remove him from office, after months of resisting pressure from Prime Minister Péter Magyar. Magyar had demanded Sulyok's resignation as part of his campaign to dismantle the system built by his predecessor Viktor Orbán. Once the amendment passed on Monday, Sulyok's legal options to remain in office were exhausted.
