India becomes third country with private spaceflight as Skyroot launches Vikram-1

Indian start-up Skyroot Aerospace became the first private company from India to place a rocket in orbit, launching the Vikram-1 to an altitude of 450 km. India thus joined the United States and China as the third country capable of conducting private spaceflights. The news was reported by Reuters.
